F1 dream come true for Karun Chandhok

Karun-ChandhokThe dream to enter the F1 circuit has come true for the 26 year old Karun Chandhok as he signed up with Hispanic Racing for racing in the coming competitions.

He is expected to take part in the 2010 Formula One Grand Prix, announced the team while showcasing its cars and insignia. Chandhok has become the second person from the country to become a race driver in Formula One racing.

Narain Karthikeyan from Coimbatore had driven for Jordan in the 2005 season. Many people were expecting his entry into Formula One racing after his talks with Campos Meta 1 team were known last week. There were others waiting for confirmation like Jose Maria Lopez who has larger funding than the Indian racer.

The team has seen uncertainly over the choice of drivers as Jose Ramon Carbante bought over from Adrian Campos. He then brought in Colin Kolles as the team principal.

Bruno Senna will partner Chandhok in the team to race on the circuits. He was Chandhok's former iSport International mate from the 2008 GP2 series.

The cars of the team are powered by Cosworth and run on Dallara chassis. They did not participate in the test secessions in Jerez and Barcelona before the new season opening in Abu Dhabi.
