Farrah Fawcett discharged from hospitalWashington, Apr 10: Farrah Fawcett has been discharged from hospital, as her pain has subsided after being treated for internal bleeding not directly related to her cancer.

The former ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star left the hospital with longtime companion Ryan O''Neal on April 9.

"She''s walking and in great in spirits and looking forward to celebrating Easter at home," People quoted the star’s treating physician, Dr. Lawrence Piro, as saying.

He added: "Her home has been stocked with her favorite teas and food and she''s looking forward to enjoying them."

Fawcett has been enduring a long battle with anal cancer, which was first diagnosed in 2006.

The 62-year-old actress had been hospitalised in Los Angeles on April 2.

Piro has said that the she was being treated for a hematoma from bleeding in a stomach muscle stemming from a "small procedure" at a clinic in Germany.

"Farrah was discharged [Thursday] afternoon from the hospital and is at home. She was accompanied by Ryan. The pain from the hematoma has improved tremendously," said Piro. (ANI)
