As a part of promoting football in the different countries across the world, the FIFA World Cup trophy has arrived in the Kolkata yesterday through a chartered plane from Canada.

The FIFA World Cup Trophy, made of gold with a weight of six kilograms, will be placed at Yuba Bharati Krirangtan where it will be displayed to pubic from 15th to 17th January.

FIFA, the highest governing body of football, has started FIFA World Cup trophy tour to promote football all over the world. Coca-Cola has organized this tour of mega event with highest prize money in the history of world football for FIFA.

FIFA World Cup Trophy will be taken to 86 countries before starting of World Cup in June in South Africa.

The World Cup will be officially unveiled by Lothar Mathhaus, former captain of German team, which won the 1990 World Cup title.
