First Phase of Mohegan INSPIRE IR in South Korea to be opened on November 30

The Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort is all set for its official soft opening on 30th of November, marking the inauguration of the first phase of what is billed as Asia's premier entertainment resort. The soon-to-be-launched initial phase of the IR will feature three distinct hotel towers offering 1,275 rooms, South Korea's pioneering multi-purpose arena, spacious MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) facilities including the country's biggest ballroom, multiple signature restaurants, and a futuristic digital entertainment street called Aurora.

To be operated under the motto "Inspiring Worlds, Inspiring People," the forthcoming IR aims to set a groundbreaking benchmark for entertainment resorts in the South Asian nation. It promises to deliver an exceptional & distinctive gaming and leisure experience to guests of diverse nationalities and age groups. However, it will be opened to guests in a phased manner, with the operator intending to fully launch the entire establishment by the end of the first half (H1) of 2024.

James Gessner Jr., the President of the Mohegan Management Board & the American federally-recognized Mohegan Tribe, expressed the significance of the imminent launch of the gambling-friendly establishment, highlighting the momentous partnership forged by the Tribe and the substantial leap for premier integrated entertainment resorts worldwide. He went on to state that the IR would play a pivotal role in contributing to local and regional economies and generating employment opportunities by attracting gaming enthusiasts to the Incheon region. In addition, it will foster new business ventures in the vicinity.

Ray Pineault, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mohegan, reflected on the profound impact of the new IR. He said the new establishment would not only serve as a milestone for global market expansion but also as a path to share the tribe’s values and heritage with the world.

Speaking on the topic, Pineault said, “INSPIRE is significant to us not only for our growth in the global market but also for the opportunity to share Mohegan’s legacy and spirit with the world. Together as a team, we look forward to bringing this incredible entertainment destination to Asia, offering the top-notch hospitality services and products that our guests expect from our brand.”

Addition developments ahead include the introduction of INSPIRE Mall, along with a casino dedicated to international visitors in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024. Further expansions will include a vast outdoor entertainment complex, called Discovery Park, in addition to significant enhancements like transforming Splash Bay, complete with an indoor children's playground.
