Force Motors discontinues MinidorDespite the fact that the company coined the term auto rickshaw in the Indian market but it has now stopped the manufacturing of its 15-year old three-wheeler, the Minidor.

However, the Chairman of the company, Abhay Firodia was very clear that the pulling off of Minidor from the Indian market does not by any means indicate that the company is exiting the three-wheeler segment from the Indian market. Firodia also mentioned the fact that the company is very much clear of becoming a passenger carrier also rather than being a plain transport carrier.

The company has decided to launch an SUV in the Indian market to make foray into the SUV market. It is to be mentioned here that the company will be launching its model in the Indian market by this year.

It may be noted here that the company has been limiting its operations to the LCV segment so far. The company has its plant at Akurdi near Pune and Pithampur, near Indore, in Madhya Pradesh. Analysts are expecting a huge success from the from the SUV model that will be launched by the company.
