The previous statutory auditors of Satyam Computers Limited have reportedly told the special about to look into the scam that there was failure by the prosecution to show any kind of proof that they committed any mistake for which they were being tried to be charged.

The auditors are S. Gopalakrishnan and Talluri Srinivas, who told the special court via their senior counsel A. Raghunathan that they had been in the belief that everything was true and fairly done with the accounts of the company before the scam broke out.

These auditors had not been expected to work as detectives who would discover if the company was committing a crime or not.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was requested by the counsel not to `unnecessarily' call the court to make charges against the two of them was there was no ground.

Earlier, the previous Satyam chairman B. Ramalinga Raju attended the second day after being released on bail by the High Court and left, giving reasons to the media that he was glad on being bailed but refused to discuss more.
