According to the reports, Clark County Development Services in Nevada said 47 building permits for the stalled Fontainbleau resort project in Las Vegas have been pulled.
The Las Vegas Sun has reported on Tuesday that it is unclear whether that means construction on the 68-story, 3,800-room casino project would resume soon.
Owners of the site, Icahn Nevada Gaming Acquisition, did not return phone calls to clarify the status of the project, that was purchased by billionaire investor Carl Icahn in January.
The newspaper also said that the permits that were pulled represent $1.2 billion in construction work. The contractor listed on the permits is Taylor International Corp., which also did not return phone calls.
It has also been reported that currently, the fate of the 2777 Las Vegas Blvd. South address is unknown. The original developers went bankrupt in 2009 and what's left of the project is a shell of a building on one of the most famous tourist strips in the United States. (With Inputs from Agencies)
