Four children given HIV-tainted blood

Four children given HIV-tainted bloodThe recent case of the four children who were given HIV-tainted blood once again put the question-mark on the reliability of medical services in small towns. Negligence of doctors has put four children on the risk of HIV.

Four children underwent blood transfusion in the Shyam Nursing Home. The blood given to them was brought from Goyal Pathology Lab in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar district.

This issue came to limelight when one of the donors who donated blood at the lab tested positive for HIV.  The parents of the children informed the Anoopgarh subdivision magistrate.

The records of Shyam Nursing Home and Goyal Pathology Lab have been seized by the police. The nursing home and lab has been sealed.

Ganganagar SP Umesh Dutta said that a criminal negligence case had been filed against Dr Hetram Goyal and Dr Bharat Bhushan Chachang who is missing.

Parents of these four children are still in dilemma whose faith in medical facilities has been shaken. They are worried about their children whose life has been put on stake due to negligence of doctors.
