Lapierre, the renowned French bicycle manufacturer famous for producing and offering a wide range of high-performance road and mountain bikes, has just taken wraps off its latest addition – the Overvolt GLP, representing excellence in the premium electric mountain bike (e-MTB) segment.

The trailblazing Lapierre Overvolt GLP e-MTB has been meticulously crafted for top-tier off-road performance, thanks to the bicycle brand’s collaboration with professional experience mountain bike racers Nicolas Vouilloz and Jérôme Gilloux. The brand’s collaboration with the seasoned racers showcases its dedication to excellence in every detail.

The third-generation Overvolt GLP e-MTB boasts a significant leap in the exciting world of e-MTB. This new iteration of the-bike brings an array of significant improvements, with a special focus on enhancing off-road riding experience. One of the standout upgrades in the new e-bike is the revised suspension system that has been carefully designed to cater to the demands of both enduro riders and advanced trail adventure-loving riders. Alongside this, the inclusion of a bigger 725-watt-hour (Wh) battery sets a new benchmark, thanks to its remarkable 50 per cent boost in riding range compared to its predecessor.

When it comes to the equation of power & control, the Overvolt GLP comes equipped with Bosch’s high-performance e-motor, the Performance CX Race, a name that is synonymous with excellence in the fast-expanding e-bike industry. This top-tier e-motor is capable of delivering an impressive 600 watts of peak power and a remarkable torque of 85 Newton-meters (N.m.). These figures are enough to ensure that the riders can tackle even the most challenging terrains without any problem. Various settings accessible through the e-bike’s user-friendly Kiox 300 display interface enables the riders to conveniently manage this power.

Beyond all that, the new e-MTB has a robust as well as lightweight state-of-the-art UD SLI Carbon frame, infused with IM/VHM fibers for supreme rigidity. Further, the top tube & rear suspension pivot points of the frame have undergone redesigning to ensure a solid underpinning for the potent e-motor, ensuring an excellent symmetry of agility and steadfastness. In addition, the e-bike adopts a characteristic mullet setup, pairing a 29-inch front wheel with a 27.5-inch rear wheel, boasting a 64-degree head angle and a 77-degree seat tube angle for the ergonomic comfort for riders.

In terms of pricing, the Overvolt GLP starts at 9,499 Euros (approximately $10,000) for the base Elite model, with higher-tier options like the SE priced at 12,000 Euros ($12,650), and the top-of-the-line Team model at 12,499 Euros ($13,200).
