Mumbai, Jan 27 : Director David Dhawan, who worked with Katrina Kaif in "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?", is impressed with the actress' "Chikni chameli" act, and is happy with the success of the song.

The director says he is happier because he credits himself for pioneering not just the trend of raunchy item songs, but also Katrina's career in commercial cinema.

"I started the trend of raunchy item songs with 'Sarkaiyee lo khatiya jaada lage' in 'Raja Babu'. And now look where it has gone," said Dhawan.

New Delhi, Jan 27 : He is all of 21 and can boast of over 38 million YouTube hits for his song. But Anirudh Ravichander, composer of the phenomenally popular Tamil-English number "Kolaveri di", is already trying to move out of its shadow.

Mumbai, Jan 12 : Shammi Kapoor's son Aditya Raj Kapoor is following his late father's footsteps. literally. He danced to his father's popular "Baar baar dekho" number from the film "Chinatown" and received compliments from none other than Hema Malini.

"Now I made my debut with the most fabulous Renuka Shahane, in dad's most memorable 'Baar baar dekho'. A Salsa tribute. Like me, Renuka is also a student with Sandeep Soparrkar and we have been rehearsing for the past few days," he said.

The shares of Sun TV Network rose 7 per cent after the board of directors announced an interim dividend of Rs 3.75 per share.

The shares consolidated on the gains made yesterday of about 5 per cent on the domestic share market. The broadcasting and cable TV operator said in a filing to the stock exchanges where it is listed that the new dividend is in addition to the Rs 2.50 per share that was announced by the board on August 01, 2011.

Sikander Kher can't believe his childhood buddy Abhishek Bachchan is going to be a father soon.

"Ï can't believe he is having a baby. He is anyway very kiddish, but I am sure he will mature now," Sikander said on UTV Stars' "Live My Life".

The two actors are close buddies. Sikander also happened to disclose that Abhishek is keen on a baby girl.

London, Oct 21 : A nude photograph of Marilyn Monroe is on sale for £5,000.

Christie’s will hold a specialist sale in November to sell the 1962 photograph of Monroe, taken shortly before she died.

The provocative shot is part of a series called The Last Sitting, which catapulted American photographer Bert Stern to fame, the Sun reported.

Bert Stern clicked 2,500 photographs of Marilyn Monroe in 1962 for Vogue magazine, six weeks before the iconic beauty died of a drug overdose.

London, Oct 15 : Hollywood actress Hilary Swank is donating her personal acting fees to various charitable organisations after she attended a controversial event in Chechnya.

The two-time Oscar winner has “deeply regretted” her taking part in a birthday celebration for Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechnyan President, who is accused of orchestrating human rights violations.

Human Rights Watch urged Swank and other celebrities who attended the event to return any money or gifts they received from the event.

The doll in the picture wore green dungarees and had blonde curly hair, and was lying next to a CD player.

The court was also shown a photograph of ornate dinner plates with baby faces, believed to be the pop legend’s three children, which were displayed on a chest of drawers alongside family pictures.
