Washington, March 17 : New analysis of the fossil of a dinosaur that was found in 1982 in Canada has suggested that it was smaller than a modern day housecat, which indicates that there might have been many `mini dinosaurs' prowling the continent of North America.

The analysis was done by Nick Longrich, a paleontology research associate in the University of Calgary's Department of Biological Sciences and University of Alberta paleontologist Philip Currie.

They describe a new genus of carnivorous dinosaur that was smaller than a modern housecat and likely hunted insects, small mammals and other prey through the swamps and forests of the late Cretaceous period in southeastern Alberta, Canada.

Lahore, Mar 17: Former cricketer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) was against basic human rights and would be challenged in court.

A private TV channel quoted Khan as saying that incidents like May 12 and the Lal Masjid operation would also be challenged in court.

He said Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had been reinstated through the people’s power and would stand by the people.

New Delhi, Mar 17 : The President of Chile, Dr. Michelle Bachelet, will meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh here today to further strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.

A number of agreements are expected to be signed during the meeting.

International Business Machine (IBM) has developed a new internet browsing technology that permits users to speak to the web and create voice-enabled websites with the help of cellular phones.

IBM’s India development team developed the Telecom Web Browser with the help of a new internet protocol called Hyper Speech Transfer Protocol (HSTP) analogous to HTTP.

HSTP offers a mechanism to join telephony voice applications with one another. Moreover, the new protocol intends to provide a communication bridge between the web and voice.

Washington, March 17 : Paramount and DreamWorks have decided on July 1, 2011 to be the release date for `Transformers 3'.

Paramount insiders have revealed that studio bosses made this move because they wanted to claim the date before any competitor did, considering that the 2011 summer release calendar is filling up.

The release date for the film has been selected despite the fact that no deals have been inked with director Michael Bay or franchise stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox.

London, Mar. 17: Andy Flower, the assistant coach of the England cricket team, has given a withering assessment of its chances in Twenty20 cricket.

“We’re rubbish and we know we are,” The Sun quoted Flower as saying, adding that England will be among the rank outsiders when they host the World Twenty20 this summer.

Speaking after his team’s six-wicket loss to the West Indies on Sunday, Flower said the plain fact is “England are poor at Test cricket, inconsistent in 50-over games and utterly hopeless at Twenty20.”
