Sports betting industry is facing major revenue loss due to COVID-19 lockdowns and cancellation of sports events.

Hamburg - Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath is refusing to comment on reports he is set to take over at fellow Bundesliga club Schalke from next season, Kicker sports magazine reported Thursday.

He was quoted by Kicker as telling the magazine Wednesday evening the reports appeared to be an attempt to damage him and Wolfsburg.

"I ask myself who has an interest in publicising this now... I don't at all see why I should comment on such rumours," he said.

Hamburg  - German World Cup winner Lothar Matthaeus and Maccabi Netanya have cancelled the coaching contract between the two parties that was to run until 2010, German media reported Wednesday.

Matthaeus is quoted as having said that he was disappointed his coaching stint with the club had come to an end. "The recession forced the club to approach me. I accepted their situation, but am sad as I would have liked to have coached them for longer."
