London, Mar. 18 : Football's most powerful clubs are hatching plans for a European Super League which could destroy the Premier League.

According to The Sun, the Euro revolution would see the creation of three divisions - each with 20 teams.

The Big Four - Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal - would be in the top division, forced to play 38 European games alone. That would rule out any chance of them competing in the Premier League as well and would therefore spell the end of English football as we know it.

Premier chief executive Richard Scudamore has been alerted and has said that he would fiercely resist any moves to either abolish the Premier or reduce its size to accommodate extra European fixtures.

London  - Arsenal reached the FA Cup semi-final as they came from behind Tuesday to beat Hull City 2-1.

Veteran forward Nick Barmby gave Hull a first-half lead, only for Robin van Persie to level with 17 minutes remaining.

With seven minutes to go, William Gallas headed into an empty net to give Arsenal the win, despite appearing to be offside.

Hull had controlled the early stages, but Arsenal battled back and were the dominant side in the second half.

The opener came for Hull after 13 minutes. Andy Dawson's lofted ball found Barmby, who hit the dropping ball first time. It struck the thigh of Johan Djourou, looped up over Lukasz Fabianski and just under the bar.

Madrid - Real Madrid midfielder Ruben de la Red could be suffering from the heart condition myocarditis, according to sports daily AS on Tuesday.

Myocarditis, a serious heart problem, is inflammation of the myocardium, the muscular part of the heart. It may cause chest pain, rapid signs of heart failure, or sudden death.

London, Mar. 17: Roman Abramovich-owned Chelsea Football Club is hoping to recruit Brazilian star Robinho provided he is in form.

According to The Sun, the club will study Robinho’s form over the next month — to decide whether to bid for him.

The Blues missed out on Robinho, 25, when he joined Manchester City from Real Madrid in a shock 32.5 million pound switch on transfer deadline day.

Chelsea has never given up on the Samba star and previous boss Big Phil Scolari tried again in January.
