Rome  - Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho Tuesday was fined but not suspended following the dismissal he received at the weekend late in the Serie A game his side won 2-0 over guests Fiorentina.

A sports judge fined the 46-year-old Portuguese 10,000 euros (13,000 dollars) "for openly criticizing the referee's officiating, stepping out of his designated area."

Mourinho had received a one-game ban for being sent off earlier this season.

Fiorentina were also fined 12,000 euros for their fans' racist chants during the late Sunday game at the Giuseppe Meazza. (dpa)
