London, Mar.30 : Oxford defeated Cambridge in the 155th annual boat race.

Fortunes change quickly in the Boat Race, and Saturday's was no exception. For the first seven minutes Cambridge had it all their own way, despite fractionally fluffing the start when the umpire's "attention", but thereafter, the Light Blues (Oxford) quickly caught up and held the cards till the end.

By the time the race reached the Harrods Wall, nearly six minutes in, Oxford were motoring.

Barbados (West Indies), Mar. 30 : England cricket skipper Andrew Strauss stroked an aggressive 79 of 61 balls to help his team inflict a crushing victory in the fourth one-day international against the West Indies here on Sunday.

Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Mar. 30 : At least 22 people were killed and 132 were injured when a wall came down on them before a football match between the Ivory Coast and Malawi in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

According to The Sun, many of the victims were trampled as they attempted to flee the crush which happened as fans tried to get into the stadium.

Ivory Coast Sports Minister Dagobert Banzio said fans tried to push in without tickets at the Houphouet-Boigny stadium in Abidjan.
