Rohit Sharma has said in a press meet that Adam Gilchrist and Mahendra Singh Dhoni have very similar attitude towards the game. Both of them are devastating players and have many similarities as captains. Moreover, he has thanked and credited the former Australian wicket keeper and Skipper of Deccan Chargers for his success.

Rohit has said that Adam has changed his as well as his team Deccan Charger's fortune. Rohit Sharma and Adam Gilchrist play for the same team i. e. Deccan Chargers; Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League and the team has managed to lift the trophy in the 2nd edition of the IPL, 2009 at South Africa beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 runs.

He has also said that after finishing at the bottom of the table in the inaugural edition in 2008, it was Gilchrist who has taken all the responsibility and the team went on to win the title. As per Rohit, both Gilly and MSD are cool, calm and composed who never panic and good leaders bringing the team together.
