Internet giant, Google ahs announced recently that the first Chromebook models will be produced by Samsung and Acer and will be available by June 15.

Chromebooks will run on Google's Chrome OS and run only online applications. The Chromebooks has been unveiled on day two of Google I/O. Google organized a joint event with Samsung and showcased the hardware to a group of journalists and also give some hands on time with the Samsung Series 5.

The Samsung Series 5 appears to be much faster than the Cr-48, a notebook that Google had sent to some of developers last year. The Series 5 has a dual-core Intel Atom chip as opposed to the single-core chip on the Cr-48.

Google is positioning the device for the consumers, businesses and schools customers. The company is offering businesses and schools the tablet on a subscription basis, starting at $28 per business user and $20 per school and public sector user.

Meanwhile, IT industry experts have warned that Google’s plans to deliver security updates automatically to its Chromebooks might face opposition from company administrators, who would live to keep more control over their systems.

The Chrome OS offers will deliver updates like Google's Chrome browser in the background without taking the permission from the users and also without notifying them. Experst say that administrators are no only responsible for the security of their networks but also for its smooth running.
