Google Gives New Look To Its Social networking Site ‘Orkut’

GoogleIn an effort that Google says would make the Orkut experience a more 'worthful' one for its users, the company has changed its look on Friday.

Not only this, the Social networking site owned by Google has added a host of new features with the intention to recover ground from one of its biggest contender 'Facebook'.

With the latest changes including posting video testimonials, altering the colors of the content boxes and the ability to find friends automatically, video chat integrated with Google Talk, ability to upload pics in bulk, add and view photographs and video recordings in-line.

In its statement, Google said that the novel look has a user interface, or homepage, which is quicker and simpler to use.

Vinay Goel, Google India Head (Products) said, "With the new user interface (UI), the user does not have to visit each page for viewing videos, or say posting scraps.

He gets to see all updates and respond to his friends from the homepage itself."

Mr. Goel added that they have approximately 80-100 million users all through the world.

After Brazil, India is the second developing market for 'Orkut', he further said.
