Halle, Germany  - Germany's Thomas Haas won his first grass-court title when he beat world number four Novak Djokovic 6-3, 6-7 (4-7), 6-1 of Serbia in the final of the ATP tournament in Halle on Sunday.

The victory at the 750,000-dollar tournament gave 31-year-old Haas his first trophy since February 2007 when he won in Memphis.

It was the 12th title for Florida-based Haas who becomes the fourth German winner of the tournament following Michael Stich (2004), Nicolas Kiefer (1999) and David Prinosil (2000). (dpa)
