Have coffee to improve your sex life

If you want to improve your sex life, have two to three cups of coffee daily. A study was conducted by a team of researchers from the University of Texas Health Science Center in which they analyzed the effect of caffeine products on men. It was conducted on over 4,000 men.

They were asked to fill a questionnaire, in which they answered questions regarding daily consumption of caffeine and sex life. The findings of the study were quite surprising. It was found that men who consume nearly 85 milligrams of caffeine per day have less chances of suffering from erectile dysfunction.

ED is a big concern for men and its chances are increased by many factors such as obesity, tobacco use, cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, hypertension and alcohol. One can have two to three cups of coffee daily in order to complete the requirement of 85 milligrams of caffeine. Risk of impotence reduces up to 42% with two cups of coffee and three cups lead to 39% reduction.

Dr. David Samadi, head of urology at Lenox Hill hospital, talked regarding the effect of coffee. He said that in men, cavernous tissues get relaxed by consumption of coffee. It assists in more flow of blood to the specific area. But more analysis is required to find out impact of caffeine on overweight and diabetes patients. Caffeine could be obtained from many other sources such as tea, cold drink and sodas.

According to Dr. Natan Bar-Chama, director of Male Reproductive Medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, "These findings also support the latest US Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee position that drinking three to five cups a day reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease; two conditions that are well established as significant risk factors for erectile dysfunction".
