HCL rolls out new hefty HCL Leaptop Z39 notebook in India
One of the largest electronics, computing, and information technology companies of India – HCL (Hindustan Computers Limited) has rolled out a new hefty notebook – HCL Leaptop Z39 in India. According to the HCL, the HCL Leaptop Z39 has been designed specifically according to Indian needs and conditions.
The HCL Leaptop Z39 notebook features a 14.1-inch screen. The notebook is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 8GB RAM, 500GB of hard disk space, and a battery offering backup of about 4 hours.
The HCL Leaptop Z39 notebook is equipped with the Advanced Thermal Engineering (ATE) technology to help maintain the temperature of the notebook. Priced at Rs. 59, 990, the HCL Leaptop Z39 notebook is available with a lifetime 24x7 telephonic support in 11, regional languages throughout the country.
Speaking at the launch of HCL Leaptop Z39 notebook, the Executive Vice-President, Mr. George Paul disclosed that HCL Infosystems Ltd is having negotiations with several private and public sector banks, seeking to supply them handheld terminals, which would enable them to launch the Centre’s financial inclusion programme in the rural market.
Mr. George Paul said, “The portable handheld terminals would help a bank correspondent undertake client transactions such as credit servicing, new account opening in remote rural areas devoid of bank branches.”
According to Mr. George Paul, the company would manufacture the proposed device at its factories in Chennai and Uttarakhand. The company is also looking to start making ATM machines in collaboration with its partner Nautilus Hyosung.
