Here comes Samsung Galaxy U

SamsungEarlier this week, Spice had launched its Android based handset-The Spice Mi-300 in association with Qualcom. Thus with Android becoming the latest hot favorite platform  of handset manufacturing companies across the globe, more and more companies are rolling out handsets based on it.

And the latest one to yet again join this league is Samsung as the company had recently announced the launch of its Galaxy S, Beam and the mid-range Galaxy 3 and 5. But the company is back again with its latest offering- Galaxy U which is a new Android-based device.

The announcement of the launch was done in Korea by the company. This all new phone is a bit overtly styled for the Korean market. The phone has features like a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and support for 720p HD video recording. Its AMOLED screen has the same resolution as the Galaxy S - 480 x 800 pixels with support for 16M colors.

The phone also has an option of accepting a microSD card of up to 32GB while an 8GB card is comes with the phone itself. The phone that is priced at $682 (Rs. 32,700 approx.) in Korea also supports DMB-TV broadcasts.
