Hide N Seek: Movie Review!

Hide N Seek: Movie Review! The story of the film 'Hide N Seek' circles around six pals including Om (Purab), Abhi (Sameer), Jaideep (Arjan), Imran (Ayaaz), Jyotika (Mrinalini) and Gunita (Amruta).

When they all were teens, a Xmas Party night altered it all for them and their personal lives were never the same again.

After 12 years, now Om is back from the mental hospital where he was kept after that disastrous night.

Jaideep is a disruptive political leader, Gunita a ace model, Imran a big movie celeb and Abhi a business mogul, whereas Jyothika still pines for Om like she did when they were teens.

But one late night all of them are made unconscious and brought and dumped in a shopping center.

Getting together for the first time after a big gap of twelve years in such a situation raises distrust amongst them about each other.

But, all of them soon realize that they are being played by a person wearing a Santa Claus dress who is dictating terms to them there.

The Santa orders them to play Hide N Seek in the shopping centre without resorting to betraying. As the game starts, one by one, each one of them starts getting slaughtered. Who is responsible for all this?

Debutante director Shawn Arranha makes an impact with his storyline and adhesive friction on his subject.

What works for the movie is the truth that it remains true to its genre and delivers exactly what one expects from a slasher film. After a big gap a good suspense thriller movie has hit theatres, congratulations to writer as well as film maker, Apoorva Lakhia, for that.

Purab Kohli shows his flexibility in a complicated character. Arjan Bajwa plays his role completely. Sameer Kochhar fits the part to the T. Ayaaz Khan last seen in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is remarkable too. Amongst the females, Mrinalini Sharma is fine while former Miss India Amruta Patki makes a polite debut.

The editing and background music facilitates in raising the total impact of the proceedings.

The movie may not boast of big star names but it attains success, thanks to the firm screenplay, first-class direction and remarkable performances. (With Input from Agencies)
