Hrithik Roshan is all set to play the role of Amitabh Bachchan in the remake of 90’s super-hit ‘Agneepath’.

It is learnt that Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is planning to cast Hrithik in the powerful character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan which till date remember one of his most famous ones.

Confirming the news a source close to Karan said: “Karan has been planning to remake ‘Agneepath’ but he was waiting for the right time. While some changes will be made in the script to give it a contemporary feel, Karan does not want to change any dialogue as he is very confident of the dialogue in the original Agneepath.”

The source further added that Karan Malhotra, one of the most promising assistants of Karan Johar, will direct the movie.

It should be noted here that Agneepath was produced by Karan’s late father Yash Johar. The film had helped Amitabh Bachchan to bag a National Award.

However, it is still not clear that who will be given Mithun’s role.
