HTC’s Desire hits Indian markets
After the much hoopla surrounding the HTC, the company has finally given a green signal to the phone in India. As the handset maker has launched the phone in the country in association with Tata DoCoMo.
The much awaited phone is a similar take of Google's nexus with some minor changes. The phone which was first showcased in Mobile World Congress 2010 has finally landed on the Indian soil today.
The phone has a 3.7 inch AMOLED display along with a 1-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It also boasts of a 576MB of RAM and comes with an Android 2.1 loaded in the phone, which is yet to be upgraded to Froyo.
The stark differences of the phone as compared to, Nexus is its video recording at WVGA resolution (800*480) at 15 fps. Along with it the phone also consists of an optical track-pad and physical buttons. Considering that India is a land of music passionate the phone has also been embedded with the feature of FM radio which was missing in the Nexus One.
The HTC Desire will be available at all retailers across the country and will be available at a price band of Rs. 28,900.
