Human-caused climate change is real and urgent-says Al Gore
Former Vice President of US Al Gore said that the human-caused climate change is real and should be compacted in a sense of urgency. Gore had written this in an op-ed piece in The New York Times. He was obviously taking aim at climate change skeptics those who doubt the reality of human caused climate change. Climate change skeptics have pointed out errors in the panel's 2007 report.
Earlier it was in news that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, studying global warming is looking for outside review because of current criticism about its reports. The United Nations has also announced that an independent scientific board would review the panel's work. But Al Gore has strongly defended the panel.
He discussed about various challenges to the accuracy of findings by the panel. And talking on the climate change, he said that these things are not an illusion, but all these are real and going to happen soon.
Gore was the first person to fight against climate change in signature issue since he left the White House in 2001. The intergovernmental panel has shared a 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with Gore.
