I Would Love To Venture Into Direction, Says Kanwaljit Singh
Well-known television biggie Kanwaljit Singh is all set to make entry into direction.
The actor said that he is looking for the right screenplay.
He said, "I would love to venture into direction but I can't do it all alone. I need a good script and a producer."
Kanwaljit, presently working in STAR Plus's serial "Sabki Laadli Bebo", also feels that advent of serials has made writing in small screen average.
"Today, writing has become mediocre. Earlier, weekly shows provided ample time to writers as well as actors to think and work on the story and characters. But today it has become difficult, they don't have time to work on the nuances," he said.
Kanwaljit begun his career in the year 1987 with the well-known serial "Buniyaad".
Afterward, he did popular serials including "Saans", "Dard", "Siski" and "Family No. 1". Moreover, he has also worked in flicks like "Satte Pe Satta", "Maachis", "15 Park Avenue", "Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar".
Now, Mr. Singh is again teaming up with his "Saans" co-star & veteran actress Neena Gupta on the big screen for their new film "Hello Zindagi", which also features Kitu Gidwani, Milind Gunaji and Amit Behl.
Raja Unnithan has directed "Hello Zindagi", which also stars Reema Lagoo's daughter Mrunmayee.
Kanwaljit plays the role of Mrunmayee's father while Neena Gupta will be seen as her overprotective mother in the film, releasing Friday.
Apart from "Hello Zindagi", Mr. Singh is a well known personality in the Punjabi film industry. (With Input from Agencies)
