ICC rejects Pakistan’s charges on BCCI
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has refuted Pakistan’s charge on the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Pakistan alleged that BCCI has forced the committee of World Cup 2011 to remove Pakistan as a co-host for World Cup 2011.
ICC has responded as Pakistan Sports Minister Pir Aftab Shah Jillani said on Monday that Indian Board has played a condemnable role in shifting World Cup matches from Pakistan.
ICC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Haroon Lorgat on Thursday said that Pakistan has showed irresponsible behavior by giving such statements.
He further added that it is ICC Board’s sole decision to shift matches from Pakistan due to security concerns and if Pakistan had done even half of what it is doing, the situation could have been better.
On the issue of Pakistan’s legal proceedings Mr. Lorgat said that we will see what can be done.
