The football governing body of India, Indian Football Association (IFA) will meet today to decide the future of the Indian football skipper Bhaichung Bhutia who has currently joined East Bengal club.

Bhutia was suspended by the Mohun Bagan for sixth months due to indiscipline issue charges and then Bhutia inked contract with the East Bengal club and appealed against the ban imposed by Mohun Bagan in the IFA.

Bhutia has currently been present in Barcelona, where the national team will have their first training session in the Catalan city.

Usha Nath Banerjee, Bhutia’s lawyer will represent him in the meeting in absence of him.

Banerjee said that she will place his subject’s plea in the meeting, and she will not comment upon what she will speak before the concerned authorities.

Meanwhile, East Bengal coach Subhash Bhowmick said that he wants Bhaichung Bhutia to play for their club and he has been hopeful to get justice from IFA, AIFF, AFC or even FIFA in this issue.
