IIFA Cricket Team Led by Hrithik and Suniel; Play for CauseTo help rehabilitate former Tamil Tiger child soldiers, charity cricket matches will be organized in Colombo, with Indian celebrities and Sri Lankan cricketers to compete as two teams. This event is being arranged by the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA).

The IIFA Awards 2010 to be held in Sri Lankan capital from June 3-5 includes these matches as a part of it. Where, Sri Lankan cricket captain Kumara Sangakkara will be reprising his role as his team’s captain, Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan and Suniel Shetty will be performing this role for the two Indian teams.

Being proud and delighted to get this opportunity, actor Hrithik said, “It is indeed a great honor to play with the Sri Lankan cricketing greats and my friends in the fraternity. I support the initiative of 'Cricket for Children' and IIFA Hands for Humanity and hope to put in my best efforts as a captain of a team towards the noble cause”.

The Indian team of actors, IIFA XIs will include Salman Khan and Dino Morea from actors, and Vinod Kambli and Kiran More as the ex-cricketers. On the other hand, Sanath Jayasuriya, Muttiah Muralitharan and Mahela Jayawardene, will be the members of Sri Lankan team.
