‘Indian Films Week’ To Commence In China On June 24"Taare Zameen Par", "Antaheen" and "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!" are part of a three-city Indian flicks' week, which will start in Beijing on June 24.

Anurag Misra, director (administration) of the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF), announced that the film festival will commence with "Antaheen".

After Beijing, the film festival will move to Chongqing on June 28 and in July, it will go to Guangzhou.

A source from Directorate of Film Festivals stated, "The Indian embassy is organising the film week as part of the 'India in China 2010' programme. In all, 10 films will be screened there."

"The movies include 'Taare Zameen Par', 'Antaheen' (Bengali), 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!', 'Ek Cup Chai' (Marathi), 'Keshu' (Malayalam), 'The White Elephant', 'Pasanga' (Tamil), 'Shob Charitro Kalponik' (Bengali), 'Gabhricha Paus' (Marathi) and 'Harishchandrachi Factory' (Marathi)," the source added.

Another source said, "The prints for all the movies have been sent to China except 'Harishchandrachi Factory'. As soon as it arrives at DFF, we'll send that too."

The 'India in China 2010' accompanies the 'China in India 2010' event, which is being celebrated in India in order to mark the diamond jubilee festivities of the constitution of two-sided relations.

A three-city, Chinese film festival started in New Delhi Monday with "Confucius". It will then move to Kolkata and Pune.

The events are a team effort of DFF, China State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and the embassies of both the countries. (With Inputs from Agencies)
