Indore to create world's largest water surface rangoli

IndoreIndore (Madhya Pradesh), Apr. 2: Citizens of Indore will gather at the Lake Meeta on the Bhopal-Dewas Road on April 15 this year to see the world's "largest water surface rangoli".

The event, which will be inaugurated at 7 p. m., will see the rangoli made across the 7.56 lakh square feet water surface.

Organisers said that at least 15 boats, 20 life jackets, 20 motor tubes and seven lifeguards would be used.

They said the rangoli could be viewed from a distance of upto two kilometres, and a crowd of about three million was expected to witness the spectacular firecracker display in the middle of the lake.

Plans were afoot to take pictures of the event from an aircraft.

The rangoli would be made by painter Rajkumar Chandan and 20 other painters. (ANI)
