Indraprastha now has a campus for IT Institute

Sheila DikshitAt the Okhla district Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has put a foundation stone for a permanent campus to be built upon in the name of Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, in the south of Delhi. As of now IIIT is being run from its temporary campus in Dwarka. Officials over have claimed of developing the first phase of the permanent campus at a cost Rs 80 crore and soon after that it will be commissioned in a span of 15 months.

The CM has added that city government is taking a lot of pain in converting Delhi to a knowledge hub. It is supposed that the first phase of the campus will take up an area of 30000 sq. meters and shall constitute of academic complexes, hostel blocks, residential complex, library and a lush green playground. The buildings will also be running on the greenery based concept.
