Intel steps up efforts to reduce the costs of computers
Global computer chip giant Intel Corporation has hinted that it is trying to reduce costs of computers so that more people can afford it, according to a company official.
Ajay Bhatt, an Intel Corporation official and co-inventor of USB said, "about one billion out of a total of a six billion people across the world have been using computers. Now we are targeting the remaining 5 billion and want to provide computers to them at a lower cost and we have been making efforts in that direction."
Mr. Bhatt is am alumni of the Maharaja Sayajirao University in Vadodara and he was in the city to deliver in the lecture where he outlined the chip maker's vision. He became a celebrity after an ad campaign launched by the company.
He also said that the corporation is developing an Intel Management Technology to protect computers against virus attacks.
The 'LIGHT PEAK' technology is also being developed by the corporation which aims at increasing the speed of communications and making delivery faster.
