Washington, July 22 : Los Angeles officials have launched an investigation into Michael Jackson''s memorial service, examining where was the taxpayers money spent.
The ceremony, held at Staples Center on July 7, worked up a whopping 1.4-million-dollar bill, most of which was spent on policing, traffic control costs and emergency services deployed at the event attended by 17,000 fans.
City Attorney Carmen Trutanich has asked for a probe, suspecting some of taxpayer''s money may have been misused, reports Contactmusic.
Evidence was already said to have been acquired that "raises both civil and criminal aspects". (ANI)
