Iraqi doctor found guilty of failed London and Glasgow bombings

London - An Iraqi doctor who worked in Britain was Tuesday found guilty of conspiring to murder hundreds of people in planned major car bomb attacks in London and Glasgow in 2007, a court in London ruled.

Bilal Abdulla, 29, was co-passenger in a jeep packed with explosives which was driven into the main airport terminal in Glasgow, Scotland, on June 30, 2007. A day before, an attempted car bomb attack on a London night club had failed.

Co-defendant Mohammed Asha, a 28-year-old neurologist from Jordan, was acquitted of the same charges by the jury at Woolwich Crown Court in London. (dpa)
