Sialkot, Jan 24: An Italian girl had to embrace Islam and give herself a new Muslim name "Fiza" before marrying a Pakistani boy in a simple ceremony at a mosque in a suburb in Pakistan.

The Pakistani boy Ghulam Murtaza lived in Italy for past several years where he developed friendship with a Christian girl Lochiya.

The girl also developed interest about Islamic teachings and later started learning Islamic rituals.

Around two weeks ago, Murtaza brought Lochiya to his home in Bhopalwala. On Wednesday, she embraced Islam and was renamed as Fiza.

Fiza later married Murtaza at a simple ceremony in the presence of notables at the same mosque, reported the Dawn. (ANI)
