Washington, July 15 : American hip-hop artist Jay-Z has confirmed that he will be releasing his first book after he finalised a literary deal last week.

Jay-Z, 39, real name Shawn Carter, will tell in his book the story of what's behind the song lyrics of some of his most famous tracks.

"It's called Decoded. I named it Decoded because I'm decoding all the lyrics from my records," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

"I'm going to pick select ones - you know all the double entendres and things that people may have missed or may have gotten, but just want confirmation on it," he added.

The book will be published by Random House imprint Spiegel and Grau, although a release date has yet to be announced. (ANI)
