London, Oct 6 : Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, has been named the best rapper alive in a new poll by MTV.

The Run This Town superstar pipped Lil Wayne and his protege Drake

to land the top spot on the annual Hottest MCs in the Game countdown.

His pal Kanye West also scores highly on the new list, reports The Daily Express.
