Jeev finishes tied seventh at Turning Stone

Jeev Milkha SinghIndian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh has finished at the tied seventh position after carding eight-under 64 in last round of the Turning Stone Resort Championship in Verona, New York on Monday.

The 37 year-old, Jeev ended with a total score of 14-under 274 in the tournament. Jeev scored a birdie on the second hole followed by an eagle on the third. Jeev carded five more birdies at
7th, 9th 10th, 13th and 14th holes respectively to finish at eight-under.

Jeev had received the tour's Special Temporary Membership (STM) card in August to play in the PGA Tour's Fall Series. This brilliant performance of Jeev will certainly help him to get permanent card.

Jeev will have to finish better or equal to the 125th placed player at the end of the ongoing season to get a permanent card for 2010 season.

Speaking to the media, Jeev said that was one of his best performances in the tournament as he carded only two bogies in four days, and last 45 holes were without any bogie.

Matt Kuchar and Vaugh Taylor were at the top position with 17-under. Both failed to break the tie even after two holes of a sudden-death playoff.
