Jha’s Rajneeti Faces Lawsuit!
The much-awaited film 'Rajneeti' is hitting the headlines as a social worker, Naseem Khan, has filed a lawsuit on Prakash Jha because of degradation of the Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.
In his lawsuit, Khan said that the character played by Katrina Kaif is based on the life of Sonia Gandhi, and it is not right to show her in intimate scenes with the actor Ranbir Kapoor.
He added that the film makers are mixing the image of the respected leader.
On this, Jha, who is tired of the speculations and rumors, said that the role played by Katrina has no resemblance to Ms Sonia's life.
He added that Rajneeti is a film that revolves around a family having a political background and their journey to rise to power.
He also said that he would be ready to organize a special screening for Sonia Ji, if demanded.
The court has not taken any decision in this regard and adjourned the hearing till the 10th of June.
The film's release won't be affected and it will hit theatres on the scheduled day i. e. 4th of june.
The lawyer for CBFC told the court that the board has yet to receive the film for certification, and decision as to whether it had any objectionable scenes can not be taken as yet.(With Inputs from Agencies)
