Ji Sung leads from the front to register 2-0 win over Greece

With a second goal in hand the South Korea captain, Park Ji Sung, got the title, the man-of-the-match for his team's 2-0 win over Greece.

The gutsy player from Manchester got in to its form and took over on Loukas Vyntra in seven minutes in the second half and shot past Alexandros Tzorvas to turn the scores beyond expectations.

The dark horses, South Korea, played a good game throughout; they were fluid, quick to the ball, bright and alert and when everything clicked they scored.

They broke on the counter-attack with speed and fluency and in the process they made this a chastening experience for the Greek team.

Otto Rehhagel's Greek side was behind after seven minutes when Lee Jung-soo volleyed in from close range to score and make the Korean supporters in the crowd go wild. The celebrations were repeated when Ji-sung capitalized on a mistake from the centre-half Loukas Vyntra to score the second goal.

Greece were out-thought, outfought and, ultimately, outclassed by the South Koreans who had made it to the semi-finals when they co-hosted the tournament in 2002.
