Joshi and Modi to head for RCA

CPJoshiUnion Minister, Mr. C P Joshi and IPL commissioner, Mr. Lalit Modi, both have filed their nomination papers for the post of Rajasthan Cricket Association's president, for which elections will be conducted on December 7.

According to the directions of the Supreme Court the elections for the RCA will be held under the observation of retired Justice Mr. N M Kasliwal.

This is the second time in the same year when the RCA is conducting elections, as Sanjay Dixit, who had defeated Modi in the previous election in March, was not able to carry on as the head, and after a lot of persuasion the state government had formed an ad-hoc body till the elections.

Tomorrow is the day, reserved for the scrutinizing of the candidates and Saturday is the time limit, till when candidates can take back their name from the election.

While interacting to the reporters, Mr. Joshi said, "I would act as a catalyst and my role will be limited. I had to step in because the standard of Rajasthan cricket was deteriorating day by day. I have support of all cricket lovers."
