Karan takes 4-shot lead at the Southern India Open

LG Southern India AmateurKaran Vasudeva who shot under-par card of 70 has jumped into a four-shot lead at the half-way stage of the LG Southern India Amateur which is played at the par-72 KGA Course in Bangalore.

Moin Malak who was leading yesterday shot a card of 10-over par 82 while Rashid Khan shot 9-over 81 and slipped to the ninth position. Karan with a total of level par 144 was leading while Angad Cheema was at second place with a 36-hole total of 4-over 148.

Arshdeep Tiwana and Pawan Kumar were jointly at the third place at 150 while Simarjeet Singh, Gagan Verma and Abhijit Singh Chadha with a total of 152 shared the fifth position at 151.

Karan's overnight score was 2-over 74 and his formula of keeping it simple worked wonders as he began today with consecutive birdies on the first two holes.

If, Karan continues his brilliant performance, he will surely win his maiden title on the Indian Amateur Tour.
