Shimla, Dec 22 : Keylong was the coldest place in Himachal Pradesh Tuesday at minus 8.3 degrees Celsius as high altitudes of the state remained under the grip of a harsh cold wave.

Keylong is the headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti. Kalpa in Kinnaur district was the second coldest place in Himachal at a minimum of minus 4.5 degrees Celsius, the state's meteorological director Manmohan Singh said.

Shimla recorded a minimum temperature of 4.4 degrees Celsius. (IANS)
