Kingston Technology Company Inc. has made announcement about the availability of its new USB flash drive ‘DataTraveler 400’ in the Indian market that will be available in three different capacities including 2GB, 4GB and 8GB.

The company said that the new USB drive would come preloaded with MigoSync data synchronization software.

Nitin Malhotra, country manager (India) of Kingston Technology stated, “The DT400 is the perfect solution to keep documents and settings completely up-to-date and in sync.”

“Accessing email and keeping sections of the drive secure through password protection make the DT400 a powerful device for anyone to stay safely connected,” Mr. Nitin added.

With the help of MigoSync software, the users can work among various PCs by straightly synchronizing data files, email, and Internet browser settings onto the computer drive.

The MigoSync software also helps users to navigate between systems without any difficulty. The users can easily access email on a guest PC, even when the software doesn’t back up the users’ primary email application for formats such as Windows Mail, Outlook, Outlook Express or Lotus Notes.

The drive’s integrated SecureTraveler software permits users to create a ‘Privacy Zone,’ where they can create and maintain a password-protected area of the drive to keep information confidential.

The other features of the DT400 includes data transfer rates of up to 20MB/sec read and 10MB/sec write; enhanced for Windows ReadyBoost on Vista-based systems; Hi-speed USB 2.0 compliant; Capless design; MigoSync supported email clients; MigoSync supported Internet browsers; SecureTraveler security software for Windows included; Migo operating language in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Russian, Thai, Portuguese, and Dutch.

Together with a five-year warranty and free technical support, the 2GB, 4GB and 8GB DataTraveler 400 USB Flash Drive is priced Rs. 2255, Rs.3665 and Rs. 7995 respectively. The new drive is available via Avnet India, HCL, Ingram Micro, Kobian Electronics, and Transtek Infoways in the Indian market.
