India has announced their squad for the Davis Cup tie against Russia and the young tennis sensation Yuki Bhambri has been dropped while Leander Paes has been included in the team.

Indian non-playing captain SP Mishra said that Yuki has opted to not to play in the Davis Cup tie as he will participate in the ATP Challenger circuits in USA for improving his ATP rankings.

He added that Yuki was included in the Davis Cup tie against South Africa due unavailability of the Paes, who was down with shoulder injury.

Somdev Devvarman, Rohan Bopanna and reserve player Sanam Singh are among the other players included in the Indian squad for World Group tie to be played from March 5-7. Sanam has been included as replacement for Yuki.

The Indian Davis Cup squad includes Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi, Rohan Bopanna, Somdev Devvarman and Sanam Singh.
