Linkin Park, Firemint join the list of Games on iPad

linkin-parkProgressive band, Linkin Park along with Firemint have joined the list of gaming applications on the Apple's new iPad to be launched in about two days.

Firemint hasn't released any picture shots or pricing details but confirmed on Friday that the Real Racing game will be launched soon. Real Racing has been credited for the improvements over last year.

The game become popular for its graphics, accelerometer based controls, and extensive multiplayer capabilities which will now be transferred to the new device.

As for Linkin Park, the band is planning to launch its own iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad adventure game called 8-Bit Rebellion. The 8-Bit Rebellion is developed in association with Artificial Life and it features the mix of eight of the band's greatest hits.

The game features new artwork and band members as characters. There are many games related to music bands but 8-Bit Rebellion has extensive participation form the band members as they were involved in every step of the game development.

Mike Shinoda, Linkin Park vocalist said, "Artificial Life were able to turn my sketches and our creative ideas into a living, breathing world that we think gamers will thoroughly enjoy."

The game also features an exclusive song which will be unlocked only completing the game and many online features like message board etc. The pricing and the release date has not been disclosed.
