Mahindra Satyam joins hands with BASF

Mahindra-Sstyam-BASFAfter the founder Ramalinga Raju disclosed the frauds he committed with the financials of the company last year and Mahindra & Mahindra took over the company, the brand identity of IT services provider Satyam Computer Services Ltd, Mahindra Satyam has made a lot of efforts to stay afloat in the Indian market.

In fact, the company believed that it will still take a lot of time before it can match its peak times and its latest effort to join hands with the leading IT players in Europe BASF IT Services, a BASF Group company and subsidiary of leading chemical company BASF is a testimonial of the same.

According to the press release issued by the company, the deal, which was awarded to Mahindra Satyam included a competitive bidding process, in which the deal will now aim at providing managed services for BASF's extensive installed base of SAP, messaging and groupware that also includes the user administration.

Moreover, the release also highlighted the fact that while the project is totally a performance oriented project, it still has an option of one year extension twice apart from the standard three year long contract.
