Malaysian govt signs MoU with IIT - Kanpur Yet another Indian educational institute has made it big. The esteemed Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kanpur added another feather to its cap by signing an MoU with the government of Malaysia to offer technical and academic aid to an electronic hub in that country.

Giving this information to the media persons, IIT-Kanpur Director Sanjay Dhande said that the electronic hub would be set up in Penang in Malaysia.

The leading Indian institute will offer technical know-how in the fields of research, consultancy and training.

The MoU was signed by Dhande and University Sens Malaysia Director Tan Siri.

"It is matter of pride that the such understanding has been reached in the golden jubilee year of the institute," Dhande said.

Penang has nearly 200 MNC’s and the government of Malasyia wanted IIT-Kanpur help in uniting the region's stamp over production of modern gadgets.

Apart from Malaysia, many other countries like Ethiopia, Vietnam and Brazil has also sought cooperation in the field of science and technology from IIT Kanpur.
